"Although ethics is a very broad concept, it is still toward the good and the beautiful relationship between man and man, man and nature and society. Ethics is also to confirm self-cultivation and self-education of each individual.
Basic virtues that are often referred to are humbleness, compassionateness and truthfulness, in which humbleness and compassionateness are top standards, that is, the standards are for things to do and unlimited. But the truthfulness is the basic standard, minimum level of human behavior, you cannot lower. Under the private economy, customers only want to work with reliable companies, if you are trustworthy, you will succeed. Customers do not want to receive deceitfulness. As an auditing and accounting student, under a complex and troubled market economy which make people lose faith, I think the most basic virtues are honesty and respect for the truth, which are the foundation of building trust for us and beliefs in the life. An auditing and accounting student must be not only honest but also more self-initiative in cultivating more virtues such as integrity, objectiveness, independence and carefulness. In addition, each student should be responsible for themselves and decisions they make.
However, under the circumstances of life with personal benefits and greed, not everyone is honest, objective, straightforward, etc. In replace of conclusion, I would quote Jean Jacques Rousseau’s statement: "Virtue is a state of war, and to live in it we have always to combat with ourselves ".
